I understand that the use of ISE’s wireless Internet is an earned privilege that may be revoked by the school administration or IT coordinator at any time.
I agree that I will not use this service to violate any applicable law, regulation, or legal precedent. Thus, the use of this service for the following activities is prohibited:
- Transmitting, posting, or uploading defamatory, abusive, or threatening material or language
- Violating intellectual property rights
- Accessing, transmitting, posting, or uploading material that is graphically and/or textually obscene
- Spamming, forging of headers, hacking, or distribution of Internet viruses, worms, and other destructive activities or violations of privacy
- Any other activities which are intended to harm or interfere with the rights of any third party.
I will maintain active and up-to-date antivirus software on this computer.
I will not use the ISE wireless Internet connection for server hosting, peer-to-peer file sharing networks (including, but not limited to BitTorrent, Kazaa, and Limewire), or online gaming.
I acknowledge that I will be sharing a local network with other computers owned by other students, teachers, and ISE. I will not access these computers without permission.
I will not use my computer as an access point for other computers that have not been authorized for this network.
Use of the ISE wireless network is prohibited during class time, unless teacher permission has been obtained.
I understand that my web experience will be partially censored by keyword and website. This list will be updated without notification. If I am prohibited from accessing a site needed for academic reasons, I will simply access it at home or from a computer lab.
I will immediately report any issues with the connection or my computer that may indicate a virus attack, hacking, or phishing scam.
I understand that my online activities will be logged according to each computer. I am fully responsible for the Internet activity of anyone who uses my computer.
In addition, the entirety of ISE’s “Acceptable Use of Technology Policy” (p. 15-16 of Handbook) applies to the usage of the ISE wireless network. Violation of these policies may lead to revocation of wireless privileges, computer lab privileges, and/or disciplinary action.
